What Is Money (And Why It Controls More Than You Think)

Money is something we use every single day, yet most teens don’t truly understand it.
At its simplest, money is a tool. It’s a way to exchange value. You give your time, energy, or skills, and in return, you get money.
But money is deeper than that.
Money gives you:
Freedom to make choices.
Opportunities to grow.
Control over your future.
The problem is, most teens grow up thinking money is just for spending. No one teaches them how to manage it, think about it, or use it intentionally.
So what happens?
They spend without thinking.
They regret later.
They repeat the cycle.
Understanding money early changes everything.
Start asking yourself:
Do I know where my money goes?
Am I spending intentionally or emotionally?
Because money isn’t just about what you buy.
It’s about the life you build.
